THE FLOWER CARRIER
Diego Rivera
 Wendy Castanon

Diego Rivera was born on Dexembner 8th 1886 in Guanajuato, Mexico. This painting is called the Flower Carrier. Diego Rivera painted this painting in 1935. Diego was known to paint the common Mexican people. The painting is of a fallen man, carrying a large bundle of flowers and a lady helping him out. The two people in the painting look tired and worn out from work. This represents the hardwork many Mexican people have to go through to just put food on the table.  I think Diego painted this painting so people could see the back breaking work some of the people had to do to get by. The colors of the painting are bright and stand out to catch peoples attention.
I like this painting because it really captures what a lot of people in Mexico go through to survive. The painting makes me feel very greatful for what I have .The main element that makes me feel upset when I see this painting is the man that has fallen over because of the huge bundle of flowers hes carrying. I dont think i would do anything to change this painting because i think its perfect.
